One year, 6 months, 1 day, 11 hours, and 49 minutes - that's how long it took for my daughter to tell me "No." I realize this had to come to an end sometime, but couldn't I have just a little longer? It was a simple request, to return the chapstick to the nightstand where she took it from. Yesterday, the answer was "sure!" with a cute little nod of the head. Today, and emphatic "No, no, no" accompanied with vigorous head shaking. My heart sank a little, and I am in denial. I now have the next 18 years and beyond to hear "No!" from my daughter, and I'm guessing it won't always be this cute.
*sigh*
ha ha~you just wait. If it only stopped at "no". Wait till you get the eye roll!
